Download our sample file.
Enter your item data in the file. The first row of the file contains headings. It will not be imported. You can find a description of the fields at the end of this article.
Upload your file to the FTP server.
- The file must be located in the root directory of the FTP server.
- The file name must begin with the text "import" (e.g. "import-2017-10-24.xlsx"). Capitalization matters; “Import”, “IMPORT”, “imPOrt”, etc. are invalid names.
Upload the product images to the FTP server. The images must be located in the img directory.
Upload PDF files (e.g. data sheets) to the FTP server. The PDF files must be located in the mediendaten/pdf directory.

File structure / fields

The following table contains the description of all fields; the field names correspond to the headings in the sample file. Fields marked optional can be left blank.

Warning

The Excel spreadsheet must not contain form fields ("calculated fields"). Rows with form fields are skipped.

Field	Description
SKU	Your item number (stock keeping unit).
GTIN `optional`	"Global Trade Item Number", also known as EAN or "barcode".
Manufacturer material number	The manufacturer's item number. If you are the manufacturer, use the SKU from the first field here.
Catalog page `optional`	If you also list the item in a catalog or brochure, you can specify the catalog page here. It is displayed on the product detail page.
Product group	The shop product group under which the item should be listed. You can also use descriptive names here.
Brand `optional`	The brand name of the item, e.g. "PostIt".
Price basis	Specifies how many units of the item the specified price applies to. Usually "1".
Minimum quantity	Number (pieces) of this item that must be purchased at a minimum. After that, it can only be purchased in multiples of this quantity. Usually "1".
Unit	Unit of measure, e.g. "piece", "pack".
Purchase price net	The net purchase price.
Sales price net	The recommended net sales price.
Tax rate	Tax code: "1" full tax, "2" reduced tax, "0" no tax. The corresponding tax rates are determined automatically depending on the shop's tax country.
Video `optional`	For future extensions.
Documents `optional`	Name of one or more PDF files in the `mediendaten/pdf` directory. The PDF files are listed in a separate "Instructions/Documents" tab in the product detail view. Separate multiple file names with semicolons. The maximum number of files depends on your shop version.
Promotional text `optional`	Additional text that is displayed in the product detail view. The presentation depends on the selected template. You can use this, for example, to point out promotions or free gifts.
Keyword `optional`	Additional search terms that are included in the search but not displayed. Separate multiple keywords/search terms with commas.
Item is accessory `optional`	For future extensions.
Individual title	Title ("heading") of the item. Do not include the brand name here; it is automatically inserted from the "Brand" field.
Description	A longer description of the item (no length limit). You can also use HTML code here.
Image name `optional`	Name of one or more images in the `img` directory. Separate multiple image names with semicolons. The maximum number of images depends on your shop version. Do not use a "no image available" image if you do not have an image. We automatically insert a placeholder if you do not specify any images. Always use images in the highest available resolution; the shop automatically creates images in the correct size on first access.
Note on image `optional`	An additional note that is displayed above the images. It can be used, for example, to point out decorative items that are not included in the scope of delivery.
Delivery time	Minimum and maximum delivery time in days. Separate both values with a semicolon. If only one value is specified, it is used as the maximum delivery time.
Base price quantity `optional`	Content in the base price unit for products that require base price information. Enter whole numbers only here.
Base price unit `optional`	Unit in which the base price content is specified. Allowed values: "l", "ml", "kg", "g", "m", "mm". Do not use any other units.
Manufacturer name	Name of the product manufacturer. Do not use the name of your supplier if they are not the manufacturer.
Manufacturer address	Address of the manufacturer. You can enter multiple lines in this field.
Manufacturer email or URL	Manufacturer's email address or the URL of the manufacturer's website. Specify only one of these.
Manufacturer's authorized representative `optional`	Only specify this if the manufacturer is not based in the EU.
Authorized representative address `optional`	Only specify this if the manufacturer is not based in the EU. You can enter multiple lines in this field; they will then also be displayed on multiple lines in the shop.
Authorized representative email or URL `optional`	Only specify this if the manufacturer is not based in the EU. Manufacturer's email address or the URL of the manufacturer's website. Specify only one of these.
Feature 1 `optional`	Name of an item feature, e.g. "color", "weight".
Attribute 1 `optional`	Value of an item feature, e.g. "red", "green", "3 kg".
Feature n / Attribute n `optional`	Any number of additional feature names and values.
